WABA 2: deset klubova iz pet zemalja

U trećoj sezoni se WABA 2 liga proširuje na već deset klubova iz pet zemalja.

Prijavljeni su branitelj naslova Ilirija, sudionici Final-Foura Maribor i UBI Graz, s natjecanjem nastavljaju i Kriva Palanka, Ježica, Podgorica te RMU Banovići, prvi puta će igrati crnogorski klubovi Primorje i Sea Stars te Lider iz Gradiške.

I predstojeća sezona WABA 2 lige će se igrati po turnirima. Početak je planiran za kraj IX.mjeseca.

WABA 2 Expands to 10 Clubs for the 2026-27 Season

The WABA 2 is preparing for its third official season, bringing a newly expanded and highly competitive format. The regional second-tier league will grow to feature 10 clubs originating from 5 different countries.

Following the success of previous years, the upcoming season will preserve its tournament-based structure. The competition is officially scheduled to tip off at the end of September 2026.

The 10-team field showcases a mix of returning powerhouse franchises, persistent contenders, and eager debutants:

Defending champions Ilirija (Slovenia) return to protect their crown. They are joined by fellow 2026 Final-Four participants Maribor (Slovenia) and UBI Graz (Austria).

Continuing their journey in the competition are regional mainstays Jezica (Slovenia), Podgorica (Montenegro), RMU Banovici (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and Kriva Palanka (North Macedonia).

Three clubs will make their first-ever appearances in the senior WABA 2 competition: Montenegrin standouts Primorje of Herceg Novi, and Sea Stars of Tivat, alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Lider of Gradiska.
