Laura Medeot prva Talijanka u WABA 2

Krilni centar Laura Medeot (185 cm, 2003) dolaskom u aktualnog, dvostrukog prvaka WABA 2 lige, Iliriju, postat će prva talijanska igračica u povijesti lige.

Posljednje tri sezone je igrala za isto tako za slovenski klub Domžale. U sezoni 2024/25 je u prosjeku postizala po 7.6 poena, 6.8 skokova, 1.1 asistenciju i 1.3 ukradene lopte u 16 utakmica prvenstva Slovenije.

Medeot je prethodno igrala u Italiji za Udine i HS Lab. Njezina je momčad završila kao drugoplasirana u regularnoj sezoni talijanske A2 lige Sjever 2022. godine.

Laura Medeot joins Ilirija as the first Italian player in WABA 2

By signing with the reigning, back-to-back WABA 2 League champions, Ilirija, power forward Laura Medeot (185 cm, born 2003) will become the first Italian player in the history of the league.

She spent the last three seasons playing for fellow Slovenian club Domzale. During the 2024–25 season, she averaged 7.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.3 steals over 16 games.

Medeot previously played in Italy for Udine and HS Lab. Her team finished as the runner-up in the regular season of the 2022 Italian A2 Group North.
