Studio Zagreb sa još jednom Irkinjom

Studio Zagreb gotovo je kompletirao roster za nadolazeću WABA ligu potpisivanjem ugovora s irskom krilnom igračicom Abigail Rafferty (186 cm, 2002), koja dolazi nakon godina igranja u Engleskoj i Portugalu.

Prošlu sezonu je provela u Portugalu kod GDESSA Barreiro, gdje je nastupila u 21 utakmici i u prosjeku postizala 6,3 poena, 5,0 skokova i 1,4 asistencije.

Sezonu prije (2024/25), Rafferty je s Oaklands Wolvesima u Britanskoj ženskoj Superligi (WSLB), osvojila naslov prvaka i liga kup, a također je stigla do finala doigravanja. Studio Zagreb has almost completed its roster ahead of the upcoming WABA League campaign by signing Abigail Rafferty (186 cm, 2002), an Irish forward who arrives on the back of stints in England and Portugal.

The 24-year-old joins Studio Zagreb after spending the 2025–26 season with GDESSA Barreiro in Portugal, where she appeared in 21 games and averaged 6.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.

The season before, Rafferty enjoyed a trophy-laden campaign with Oaklands Wolves in the British Women’s Super League Basketball (WSLB), where she helped the club win the league title and the league cup while also reaching the play-off final and the WSLB Trophy decider. Rafferty averaged 6.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting an efficient 58.9% from the field in 15.2 minutes per game.

Before her move to England, Rafferty built her game on both sides of the Atlantic. She spent a season at Ulster University Belfast, averaging 13.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists on 54.4% shooting, and previously played a year at DeSales University in Pennsylvania as part of the StudyUSA Scholarship Program, posting 10.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

Rafferty has also represented Ireland at multiple age levels, including the U16 and U20 European Championships, before going on to earn senior national team caps from 2021.
