Laila Phelia novi šuter Broda na Savi

Nakon osvajanja prvog naslova prvaka Hrvatske, Brod na Savi nastavlja pojačavati roster za nadolazeću sezonu dolaskom američkog beka Laila Phelia (183 cm, 2002).

Phelia stiže s impresivnim univerzitetnim životopisom, provevši karijeru u tri velika NCAA programa – Michiganu, Texasu i Syracuseu. U svojoj posljednjoj sveučilišnoj sezoni sa Syracuseom, u prosjeku je postizala 13.7 poena, 2.8 skokova i 1.4 asistencije po utakmici. U NCAA karijeri je ukupno odigrala 128 utakmica i ubacila ​​1730 poena sa 34% šutom za tri poena.

Phelia je bila reprezentativka SAD na America Cupu 2023. te osvojila srebrnu medalju.

Prije odlaska u Europu je potpisala ugovor za trening kampu sa WNBA ekipom Atlanta Dream u kojem se je zadržala 14 dana.

Fresh off their first-ever Croatian championship title, Brod na Savi continue reinforcing their squad for the upcoming season with the signing of American guard Laila Phelia (183 cm, 2002).

Phelia arrives with an impressive collegiate resume, having spent her career at three major NCAA programs — Michigan, Texas, and most recently Syracuse. In her final collegiate season with the Syracuse, she averaged 13.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Over the course of her college career, she appeared in 128 games with 103 starts, scoring 1.730 points while shooting a solid 33.9% from three-point range.

The guard also has international pedigree, having represented the United States at the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmericaCup, where the team claimed the silver medal.

Phelia most recently signed a two-week training camp contract with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream before making the move to Europe.
