Sibenik Dominates Long-Range to Secure Emphatic Win Against Rilski Sportist

Sibenik cruised to a convincing 85-63 win over Rilski Sportist at home, showcasing an exceptional three-point shooting display. The Croatian vice-champions hit an incredible 50% from beyond the arc (12/24) to neutralize the Bulgarian side’s dominance on the boards.

The game began with a quick free throw from Denitza Manolova after the opening possession, giving Rilski Sportist their only lead at 1-0. Sibenik responded immediately and furiously. The hosts launched a blistering 10-0 run, refusing to ease up to build a commanding 17-3 lead by the 7th minute.

Rilski Sportist found their rhythm in the second quarter. Steered by Marie Kenembeni (16 points, 15 rebounds) and Manolova (13 points), the visitors chipped away at the deficit, clawing back to within a single possession at 25-23.

Just as the game threatened to turn into a thriller, the Croatian side answered with another massive surge. Sibenik stringed together 12 unanswered points to push the margin back to 37-23.

After halftime, Sibenik controlled the tempo flawlessly. Their perimeter sharp-shooting proved too much for the visitors, with Mia Vuksic hitting a staggering 6-of-8 from beyond the arc for her 18 points. Taylor Golembiewski led all scorers with 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Ivana Ujevic delivered an efficient all-around performance with 18 points, 7 assists.

With the victory safely in the bag in the final period, Sibenik’s head coach Stipe Bralić leaned on his deep bench, distributing minutes among all 12 players to close out the game comfortably.
