Nova pojačanja Vojvodine 021

Za Vojvodinu 021 će u nastavku sezone igrati i bivše mlade srpske reprezentativke, krilni centar Jovana Jovović (185 cm, 1997) i razigravačica Tijana Cukić (173 cm, 1996).

Jovana Jovović dolazi iz Vrbasa za koje je ove godine na 13 utakmica prvenstva Srbije u prosjeku bilježila po 17.5 poena, 7.7 skokova, 1.8 asistencija, 0.6 ukradenih lopti i 0.8 blokada. S košarkom je počela upravo u Vrbasu, dok nije 2015.godine otišla u SAD, gdje je prve dvije sezone igrala za McCook Community College (NJCAA) te naredne dvije za MidAmerica Nazarene University (NAIA). U prvoj profesionalnoj sezoni 2019/20 je bila u čak tri kluba: Voo Verviers Pepinster (Belgija), BCF Elfic Friboourg (Švicarska) i Spar Gran Canaria (Španjolska).

Jovović je sa reprezentacijom Srbije do 16 godina na Prvenstvu Europe divizije B u Portugalu 2016.godine osvojila zlatnu medalju te je na 7 utakmica imala prosjeke od 6.1 poena i 2.7 skokova.

Tijana Cukić je sezonu 2019/20 počela u njemačkom TK Hannoveru koji je zbog ozljede desnog koljena završila već sredinom II.mjeseca. Zaigrala je na 9 utakmica Bundeslige i ostvarivala po 2.8 poena, 1.9 skokova i 2.0 asistencija. S košarkom je počela u Vrbasu i 2017.godine za dvije sezone otišla u Mađarsku u PINNK Pecsi.

Prije pet godina je u Španjolskoj za reprezentaciju Srbije do 20 godina igrala na Prvenstvu Europe.

 

Vojvodina 021 lands Jovana Jovovic, Tijana Cukic

Vojvodina 021 strengthened their roster for the rest of the season by signing power forward Jovana Jovovic (185 cm, 1997) and point guard Tijana Cukic (173 cm, 1996).

Jovana Jovovic arrives from Vrbas where she averaged 17.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.8 blocks in 13 Serbian League games this season. She grew up with Vrbas before going playing two years at the McCook Community College (NJCAA) and the next two years at MidAmerica Nazarene University (NAIA). Jovovic turned pro in 2019 and spent her first professional season with three teams: Voo Verviers Pepinster in Belgium, BCF Elfic Fribourg in Switzerland and Spar Gran Canaria in Spain.

Jovovic represented Serbia at the European Championships U16 Division B in Matosinhos (Portugal) seven years ago. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 7 games,  6.1 points and 2 .7 rebounds per game. Among many awards Jovovic’s team was regular-season runner-up in HAAC in 2019. She received also All-HAAC 1st Team award in 2019 at her college time.

Tijana Cukic spent last season at TK Hannover in Germany and averaged just 2.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 9 German League games before in February suffered a season-ending right knee injury.

She grew up with Vrbas and played there before joining Hungarian club PINNK Pecsi in 2017 for two seasons.

Cukic represented Serbia at the European Championships U20 in Lanzarote (Spain) five years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games, 0.5 points and 1.3 assists per game.
Among many awards, Cukic’s team made it to the Serbian Cup final in 2016.
