Bre Gunnels is Beroe’s first signing

American forward Bre Gunnels (185 cm, 1999) has signed with Beroe Stara Zagora, becoming the club’s very first roster reinforcement ahead of their return to the WABA League.

She arrives from Bodrum Basketbol Bodrum, where she, as a starting five player, anchored the team over 23 Second Turkish League games by putting up elite numbers, averaging 19.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, while showcasing incredible scoring efficiency with 48.5% two-point field goals, 35.5% three-point accuracy, and a stellar 86.0% from the free-throw line.

During her senior 2021-22 NCAA season, she averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and a dominant 1.9 blocks per game. Upon moving to Europe, she made an immediate impact in the Finnish Korisliiga with Forssan Alku, where she averaged 13.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, before continuing to display her frontcourt efficiency during subsequent stints with AS Soleuvre Belvaux in Luxembourg and KARA Trutnov in the Czech Republic.
