A Thrilling Game of Runs: Studio Zagreb Edges Rilski Sportist

Fans in attendance were treated to an emotional roller coaster as Studio Zagreb secured a hard-fought 75-70 victory over Rilski Sportist in a game defined by massive scoring swings and late-game composure.

The match appeared to be firmly in the hands of the Croatian side when, midway through the third quarter, Studio Zagreb built a commanding 13-point lead. However, Coach Margarita Marinkova’s squad refused to back down. With incredible defensive resilience and offensive urgency, Rilski Sportist launched a spectacular 18-2 run that carried into the final period. By the 37th minute, the Bulgarian team completed a massive turnaround to lead 70-64, silencing the opposition.

Just when Rilski Sportist seemed to have snatched control for good, the game delivered one final, dramatic twist. Rilski’s offense stalled completely, failing to score a single point for the rest of the match. Seizing the opportunity, Studio Zagreb’s guard duo, Enya Saoirse Maguire and Blaza Ceh, took over. Delivering clutch buckets in the dying minutes, they engineered a final game-winning surge to reclaim the lead and seal the 75-70 victory for the Croatian club.

Blaža Čeh put on a stellar performance, leading all scorers with 21 points on an efficient 8-of-13 shooting inside the arc. In comparison, Enya Saoirse Maguire drilled 5 three-pointers to finish with 19 points. Lea Gojkovic anchored the paint with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Ivana Boneva led the Bulgarian side with 19 points, supported by Marie Kenembeni (15 points) and Denitza Manolova, who flirted with a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
