WABA 2: Rudar 1903 adds Emese Vida and Andrea Vasiljevic for Home Tournament
Ahead of hosting the upcoming WABA 2 League tournament on their home court at the end of November, Rudar 1903 announced two major roster additions.
The Serbian side signed experienced Serbian/Hungarian center Emese Vida (190 cm, 1993) and versatile Serbian guard/forward Andrea Vasiljevic (177 cm, 2005) significantly boosting their depth and frontcourt presence.
Vida is an elite rebounder and paint anchor who boasts a long and successful international career, including a previous highly successful stint right here in Bor. She spent her early professional years from 2009 to 2014 developing with Spartak. After spending the 2014-15 season with Vojvodina, she returned to Spartak for the 2015-16 season. Her first chapter in Bor began in the 2016-17 season. The next season, she completely dominated the second league as a starter for Bor, leading the competition as the number one rebounder with a monster average of 13.8 rebounds alongside 14.0 points per game. She continued her stellar run with Bor in the First Serbian League during the 2018-19 season, averaging 17.0 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 1.0 block, before moving to Bosnia in April 2019 to finish the year with Orlovi.
Vida then took her talents to Iceland, spending two seasons with Snaefell from 2019 to 2021. She moved to Italy for the next season to play for Pallacanestro Sanga Milano in Serie A2. Returning to Iceland, she joined U.M.F. Tindastoll for two spectacular seasons. In the 2024-25 season, she made a brief but impactful return to Serbia with Student Nis, averaging 18.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in two games. In January 2026, she signed with Icelandic club Vestri and posted dominant numbers of 15.0 points, 19.5 rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 2.0 blocks per second-division game.
She started the 2026-27 season with Spartak, where she averaged 7.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks over 5 Serbian league games before finalizing her transfer to Rudar 1903.
Vasiljević joins Rudar 1903 with a strong and steady track record in the top tier of Serbian basketball. She began her First League journey with Kraljevo from 2020 to 2024. In 2024-25, Vasiljevic moved to Mega MIS and then joined Spartak for 2025-26, averaging 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game over 21 Serbian League appearances.
She began the 2026-2027 season wearing the Duga Sabac jersey, where she played 5 games in the Serbian league and averaged 4.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.8 steals.
