WABA 2: Action Moves to Tivat as RMU Banovići Make Season Debut

The upcoming WABA 2 League tournament will take place in Tivat, bringing elite regional basketball to another exciting destination. The Župa Sports Hall will become the newest venue to host a WABA 2 tournament—marking the 11th distinct arena in the competition’s three-year history. Although new to the WABA 2 circuit, the venue already has a history with the league, having hosted the WABA U15 Final-Four in 2023.

A major highlight of the tournament will be RMU Banovići’s season debut. The team enters the 2026/27 campaign as a regular contender in the WABA 2 League, following an impressive run in the top-tier WABA 1 League over six consecutive seasons.

Alongside tournament hosts Sea Stars and debutant RMU Banovići, the tournament will feature Primorje and undefeated Maribor. This thrilling lineup sets the stage for a historic milestone on Sunday, when Sea Stars face off against Primorje in the premier Montenegrin derby in WABA 2 League history.
