Velike promjene u Nikšiću 1995

U debitantsku sezonu WABA lige Nikšić 1995 ulazi sa puno promjena. Novi su iskusni trener Rade Petrović, centar Teodora Sarić (190 cm, 1998) te ukrajinski centar Liudmyla Volnianska (183 cm, 2003) te kanadske blizanke Jana Kucera (167 cm, 1998) i Logan Kucera (167 cm, 1998).

Rade Petrović je trenirao muške ekipe Danilovgrada, Gorštaka, Sutjesku, Lovćen i Ibar Rožaje. Bio selektor mlade ženske reprezentacije Crne Gora (U20) na prvenstvima Europe 2008. i 2009.godine te pomoćnik ženske reprezentacije Crne Gore u razdoblju od 2009. do 2013.godine.

Teodra Sarić je prošlu sezonu igrala u Francuskoj za Lons-le-Saunier u ligi NF3. Ima i WABA iskustvo iz sezone 2018/19 sa slovenskim Triglavom, za koji je na 8 utakmica u prosjeku ostvarivala po 5.1 poena, 2.5 skokova, 0.4 asistencija i 0.1 blokada. Igrala je još za Lovćen (Crna Gora), Universitatea CSM Oradea (Rumunjska), Flamurtari Vlore (Albanija) i Kemegal Cortegada (Španjolska) gdje u sezoni 2020-21 zaigrala na 12 utakmica druge lige i imala prosjeke od 6.7 poena, 4.8 skokova, 0.7 asistencija, 0.3 ukradenih lopti i 0.1 blokada.

Liudmyla Volnianska dolazi iz Frankviska. U prvenstvu Ukrajina je upisala 10 nastupa, po utakmici skromnih 4.2 minuta, 0.6 poena, 0.8 skokova, 0.2 asistencija, 0.2 ukradenih lopti i 0.1 blokada.

Sestre Kucera dolaze iz St.Clair College Saints Athletics u Windsoru (Kanada).

Jana Kucera je u posljednjoj studentskoj sezoni odigrala 16 utakmica zapadne divizije OCAA (The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association) te završila sa 15.1 poena, 4.6 skokova, 3.9 asistencija i 2.6 ukradenih lopti po nastupu.

Logan Kucera je u istoj ligi upisala 9 nastupa uz prosjeke od 17.1 poena, 7.3 skokova, 2.4 asistencija i 1.8 ukradenih lopti.

Niksic 1995 made a lot of changes for their inaugural WABA season. The new coach is experienced Rade Petrovic, while the player’s reinforcements are Montenegrin center Teodora Saric (190 cm, 1998), Ukrainian center Liudmyla Volnianska (183 cm, 2003) and Canadian twin-sisters Jana Kucera (167 cm, 1998) and Logan Kucera (167 cm, 1998).

Rade Petrovic led Danilovgrad, Gorstak, Sutjeska, Lovcen and Ibar Rozaje in his native Montenegro. He was a head coach of the U20 Montenegrin youth women’s National Team at the 2008 and 2009 Eurobasket plus the assistant coach of the Montenegrin women’s National Team from 2009 through 2013.

Teodora Saric spent last season in France where she played for Lons-le-Saunier in League NF3. She has WABA experience with Triglav in 2018-19 and averaged 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.1 blocks over 18 minutes in 8 games.

She has already played with Lovcen in her native Montenegro, Universitatea CSM Oradea in Romania, Flamurtari Vlore in Albania and Kemegal Cortegada in Spanish League 2, where she averaged 6.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.1 blocks in 12 games of the 2020-21 season.

Liudmyla Volnianska arrives from Frankvisk where she averaged just 0.6 points, 0.8 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.1 blocks over 4.2 minutes in 10 Ukrainian League games last season.

Kucera’s sisters both arrive from St.Clair College Saints Athletics of Windsor, Canada.
