U WABA ligi već 50 klubova

Plamen Požega je postala 50. klub (deseti hrvatski) sa utakmicom u WABA ligi i premijeru je zasladila domaćom pobjedom nad Partizanom 1953 sa 87-84. Bila je to utakmica 2.kola sezone 2021/22 u kojem su jučer već igrali Vojvodina 021-Budućnost Bemax (58-81), Montana 2003-RMU Banovići (100-45) i Badel 1862-Cinkarna Celje (59-92), dok je utakmica Basket Kam-Orlovi odgođena zbog zaraze koronavirusom u domačem timu.

Danas je u Montani unaprijed odigrana utakmica 7.kola grupe B RMU Banovići-Montana 2003 (33-99).

Plamen Pozega became the 50th club in the WABA League history to play at least one game. In their debut defeated Partizan 1953 by 87-84.

Nakon prve četvrtine rezultat je bio 24:24, a na poluvrijeme se otišlo vodstvom Plamenih od 10 koševa razlike (46:36). U trećoj četvrtini požeške košarkašice još su povećale svoju prednost na 18 poena (71:53).

Stotinjak gledatelja mogli su svjedočiti zanimljivoj posljednjoj četvrtini u kojoj su gošće stigle prednost Plamenih  i dobile tu četvrtinu sa 16:31. U posljednjih 18 sekundi imale su gošće i napad za izjednačenje ali umjesto pokušaja za 3 poena igračice Partizana pokušale su doći do 2 poena što nisu uspjele pa je konačan rezultat ostao 87:84. Manuel Markov, trener Montane 2003: “The best thing from today is that both teams finished the game healthy without injuries. Given Banovichi’s short roster, it was very difficult for them to play the two consecutive games after such a long journey. However, they still found strength in the beginning and were aggressive towards us, for which I congratulate my colleague and his team. It will be good today to focus on the young players because they have a future. Banovichi’s team definitely has a future in the team – number 77, which is only 15, and showed very good basketball. I am also pleased with our girls who got more time today. Jeni Natskina missed all of the pre-season preparation and in these two games she got a lot of minutes, and our idea was to see what her purely physical condition is. We are facing a series of difficult games which begin with a visit to Partizan in Belgrade. Then the Bulgarian championship starts and we go through a cycle Wednesday – Saturday and we will not have many training hours in the gym. I hope we raise our level with each next game.”
