Promjene u Montani 2003

Montana 2003 je na polusezoni dosta promjenila igrački kadar. Ugovori su prijevremeno prekinuti sa Amerikankama Monique Reid i Alexa Hart, a nove igračice su američki krilni centar Shereen Sutherland (188 cm, 1994) i bugarska razigravačica Valentina Goranova (170 cm, 2002) koja je već igrala za Montanu 2003.

Sutherland dolazi iz grčkog kluba Panathilikos. U A1 lige Grčke je ove sezone zaigrala na 6 utakmica I njezini prosjeki su 8.8 poena, 5.8 skokova, 1.3 asistencija, 1.2 ukradenih lopti i 1.0 blokada. Studentsku košarku je u SAD igrala za University of Arizona i University of California-Irvine. U Europi je od 2017.godine te je igrala v Švicarskoj (Helios VS Basket), Švedskoj (KFUM Uppsala Basket), Francuskoj (Club Basket Ifs), Rumunjskoj (Phoenix Stiinta Constanta, Arad) i Turskoj (Tarsus Belediyesi Mersin).

Goranova su u Montanu 2003 vraća nakon tri pol godine. Aktualnu sezonu je počela u Academicu iz Plovidva. Na 9 utakmica prvenstva Bugarske je ostvarivala po 11.2 poena, 2.3 skokova, 4.3 asistencija i 1.8 ukradenih lopti po meču. Prije toga je od 2019.godine igrala još za Septemvri 97 i Slaviju.

Goranova je bila reprezentativka Bugarske do 2017. do 2019.godine na prvenstvima Europe za igračice do 16 i 18 godina.

Montana 2003 adds Shereen Sutherland and Valentina Gorana, part ways with Monique Reid and Alexa Hart

Montana 2003 strengthened its roster for the 2022-23 WABA SuperLeague by inking American power forward Shereen Sutherland (188 cm, 1994) and their former member Valentina Goranova (170 cm, 2002). The club also announced that have parted ways with Monique Reid and Alexa Hart.

Sutherland arrives from Greek side Panathilikos for whom she averaged 8.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 6 Greece A1 League games this season.

She started her college career at the University of Arizona and then moved to the University of California-Irvine where she played for three seasons. Since 2017, she has played in Switzerland (Helios VS Basket), Sweden (KFUM Uppsala Basket), France (Club Basket Ifs), Romania (Phoenix Stiinta Constanta, Arad) and Turkey (Tarsus Belediyesi Mersin).

Valentina Goranova arrives from Academic Plovdiv where she averaged 11.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 9 Bulgarian League games this season. She has already played with Montana 2003 from 2017 through 2019 before joining Septemvri 97 for the next two seasons. Goranova has played for Slavia Sofia, too.

She was a member of the Bulgarian National Team at the U16 and 18 European Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
