Partizan 1953 Assembles Powerful Roster for the 2026/27 Season

Partizan 1953 has officially completed its roster reconstruction ahead of the 2026/27 season, signaling high ambitions for the upcoming regional campaign. The Belgrade-based club has secured six signings: Sanja Mandić, Dragana Gobeljić, Mia Draškicević, Anđelina Radić, Minja Aranđelović, and Jessica Timmons.

The club also enters a new era with a fresh leader on the bench, as Milan Milanovic steps up as head coach after serving as assistant to Miroslav Popov last season.

Sanja Mandic (178 cm, 1995) is the highly experienced Serbian national team point guard and brings a wealth of international experience, having played in top divisions across Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Russia, and her native Serbia. Mandic is a familiar face in the regional championship, having previously competed in the WABA League during the 2011/2, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, and 2015/16 seasons with Radivoj Korac, lifting the championship trophy in 2014. She has already played in WABA with Crvena Zvezda in 2019/20. During the 2025/26 regular season with Duga Sabac, she averaged 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game over 11 appearances in the Serbian championship.

Dragana Gobeljic (181 cm, 1988) is a decorated veteran forward with an extensive career spanning domestic and international leagues in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, and Russia. Gobeljic has also played in the WABA League with Vojvodina in 2007/08 and Kraljevo in 2019/20. In the 2025/26 season, representing Kraljevo, averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 24 assists, and 1.1 steals in 21 Serbian League games.

Mia Draskicevic (182 cm, 2002) is a versatile 24-year-old Serbian-Turkish swingman who previously played for Turkish powerhouses like Beşiktaş and Bodrum before making her mark in regional basketball. Draskicevic made her WABA League debut during the 2025/26 season when she joined Bosnia’s Orlovi Banja Luka in November. During that 2025/26 campaign with Orlovi, she averaged 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in just 5 games.

Andjelina Radic (187 cm, 1994) is an agile forward who arrives in Belgrade after a strong international stretch that saw her progress through the youth ranks into top-tier European club competitions. Radic is returning to the regional championship, having previously played in the WABA League during the 2013/14 season with Partizan. She spent the 2025/26 season with Kibirkstis Vilnius, where she appeared in both the Women’s Baltic Basketball League (WBBL) and the EuroCup Women. Throughout the 2025/26 EuroCup campaign, she registered solid numbers, including an average of 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game.

Minja Arandjelovic (178 cm, 2006) is one of Serbia’s brightest prospects; the 20-year-old shooting guard has been a standout player at the youth international level, representing the Serbian U20 National Team during the 2025/26 cycle. Arandjelovic joins the black-and-whites directly from local rivals Mega MIS Beograd, where she honed her scoring abilities in the domestic league. During the 2025/26 season, she averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 24 Serbian League games.

Jessica Timmons (173 cm, 2003) is an explosive American guard who made her first move to European basketball following an elite collegiate career at NC State and the University of Alabama. Her talent caught the attention of professional scouts worldwide, leading to her selection as the 40th overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2026 WNBA Draft. In her exceptional senior 2025/26 season with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Timmons led her team in scoring with 571 points, averaging 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
