Drugi puta u nizu je Thayna Silva (180 cm, 1996) iz Cinkarne Celje najkorisnija igračica (MVP) kola WABA lige 2024/25. U pobjedi protiv Trešnjevke 2009 sa 78-54 je ostvarila svoj treći najbolji index valorizacije u dvoogodišnjoj karijeri – 38 koji je najviši u kompletnom 17.kolu WABA lige 2024/25. MVP je bila i u 16.kolu.

Silva je sa 33 poena postavila osobni rekord, šutem za dva 10-14, za tri 3-6 te sa sva četiri pogođena slobodna bacanja. Sa 8 uhvačenih lopti je bila drugi skakač ekipe te je imala i 2 asistencije i 4 ukradene lopte.

Brazilka je već treći puta u sezoni MVP kola, nakon što ja naslova ponijela u 9. i 16.kolu. Ukupno je šesti puta MVP kola WABA lige.

For the second time in a row, Cinkarna Celje forward Thayna Silva (180 cm, 1996) has walked off with the 2024-25 WABA League MVP of the Round award for her outsized role in Cinkarna Celje holding back Tresnjevka 2009 78-54.

Silva had the third-best night of her two-season WABA career, compiling a 38 performance index rating, the best of all players in Round 17. She was also the Round 16 MVP.

Silva piled up career-high 33 points based on making 10 of 14 two-point shots, 3 of 6 triples and all 4 free throws. She also picked up 8 rebounds, second-best on the team, 2 assists, 4 steals and 2 turnovers.

This is the third time this season that Thayna Silva has secured the MVP of the Round prize, having done so in Round 9 and 16, and for the sixth time in her 2-year WABA career.
