Lea Marsic returns to Tresnjevka 2009 and the WABA League

Tresnjevka 2009 has secured a major reinforcement ahead of the new season. After a one-year break, Croatian center Lea Marsic (184 cm, 2003) is returning to both Tresnjevka 2009 and the WABA League.

Marsic arrives from KAZL (Kosarkaska Akademija Zana Lelas), where she averaged 9.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game in 10 Croatian Premijer Liga appearances.

Before her stint in Split, she was an indispensable part of Tresnjevka’s roster during the 2024/25 WABA League campaign. In that season, she averaged 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds,  assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game in 12 appearances.

This will not be her only experience in the regional championship. Marsic made her official WABA League debut back in the 2022/23 season playing for another club from the Croatian capital, Studio Zagreb. During her debut season, she left an immediate mark, even claiming the Round 1 MVP title. She concluded that regional campaign averaging 6.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks over 11 appearances.
