Familiar Faces and Fresh Power: Dineva, Autry, and Otto Join Beroe
Beroe has officially strengthened its squad with three prominent additions. The Bulgarian powerhouse has brought back two familiar faces (Teodora Dineva, Brittney Autry) and added an exciting new reinforcement (Jannon Otto).
The biggest news for the club’s fans is the return of two-time WABA champion Teodora Dineva (174 cm, 1996), a legendary wing player whose professional career has been deeply intertwined with Beroe. A long-time pillar of the Bulgarian senior national team, she previously spent six highly successful seasons with Beroe from 2017 to 2023. During this golden era, she helped the club win the regional WABA League titles in 2019 and 2021. After her dominant domestic run, she moved to Lithuania to play for Vilnius Kibirkstis in the 2023/24 season, her last active competitive season on the European stage.
Also returning to Stara Zagora is American center Brittany Autry (183 cm, 1997), a dominant post player with extensive international experience across multiple continents. Autry built a strong foundation at Belmont Abbey College, graduating in 2022 after a standout senior year averaging 16.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She already starred for Beroe in the 2025/26 season, averaging 15.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 11 games. Following that campaign, she spent the summer in Ecuador putting up even bigger numbers for Iccan de Macas, dominating the paint with 17.5 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game across 11 appearances.
The third addition and an exciting new face in the lineup is Jannon Otto (185 cm, 1998), a highly versatile, skilled international guard who has played professionally on five continents. Otto graduated from UC Riverside in 2020 as a two-time All-Big West selection and scored over 2,100 points in high school. Globally recognized as a naturalized star and top scorer for the Uganda women’s national basketball team during their 2023 FIBA AfroBasket run, she has played professionally in Greece, Germany, Luxembourg, Australia, and Spain. She arrives in Bulgaria from Mexico’s Correcaminos, where she recently delivered strong all-around performances over 16 games, averaging 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
