Competition System for the 2026/27 WABA Season Announced

At the regular assembly of the WABA League, the participating clubs voted on the competition system for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

The 11 clubs will be divided into two groups, competing in a round-robin system (home and away games).

Quarterfinals and Final Four

The season will continue with the quarterfinals, played in a two-game format. The matchups are structured as follows:

A1 vs. B4

A2 vs. B3

B1 vs. A4

B2 vs. A3

The winners of each matchup, determined by the aggregate score (total point differential), will qualify for the Final Four. The flagship event is scheduled to take place on March 20 and 21, 2027.

Group A: 1  Sibenik, 2 StudioZagreb, 3 Montana 2003, 4 Partizani Tirana, 5 Rilski Sportits, 6 Buducnost Bemax.

Group B: 1 Cinkarna Celje, 2 Partizan 1953, 3 Beroe, 4 Tresnjevka 2009., 5 Brod na Savi.

Round 1 Matchups (September 30 – October 7)

Group A:

Sibenik – Buducnost Bemax, Studio Zagreb – Rilski Sportist, Montana 2003 – Partizani Tirana.

Group B:

Partizan 1953 – Brod na Savi, Beroe – Tresnjevka 2009, Cinkarna Celje bye.
