WABA U17: Belgrade Ready to Host Rescheduled Week 2 Tournament

The WABA U17 League action continues this weekend as Belgrade, Serbia, hosts the rescheduled Week 2 tournament on October 17th and 18th.

While Week 2’s first leg was played last week in Kranj and Virovitica, the spotlight now shifts to Zemun, where four teams will clash in highly anticipated matchups.

Hosted by Partizan, the tournament brings together teams at completely different stages of their early-season campaigns, promising an intense weekend of youth basketball.

The host team, Partizan 1953, enters the tournament with momentum at its peak. Following a flawless 3-0 sweep in Konjic, the Serbian team remains undefeated and looks to maximize their home-court advantage in Zemun to keep their perfect record intact.

The Bulgarian side Rilski Sportist enjoyed a strong opening month, securing two victories and suffering just one narrow defeat on their home court back in September.

Zrinjski 2010 and UZKK Student both teams had a challenging start to the season, dropping all three of their opening games. This weekend gives Zrinjski and Student a crucial chance to turn their fortunes around and claim their first WABA U17 victories. With the two sides set to meet head-to-head on Sunday, at least one team is guaranteed to leave the Belgrade tournament with its first WABA U17 win.
