WABA 2: Tina Tomsic joins Ilirija from rival Jezica

Slovenian shooting guard Tina Tomsic (175 cm, 2004) is changing colors. She is leaving Bo2Mega Jezica to join fellow Ljubljana-based rival Ilirija.

Tomsic has a rich history in the regional competition, having started her international journey early in her career. From 2017 to 2020, she wore the jersey of Maribor, competing at the youth level in the WABA U15 and U17 leagues. After transitioning to senior basketball, she has remained a constant fixture in regional competition, playing for Jezica in both seasons of the newly established WABA 2 league so far. Her major breakthrough came during the 2024/25 season, when she played a vital role in Jezica’s historic run, contributing 19 points and 7 rebounds, culminating in a dramatic 72-71 victory over Podgorica to capture the Bronze Medal. During this recent 2025/26 season with Bo2Mega Jezica, Tomsic provided outstanding backcourt production and a highly balanced style of play. She contributed an impressive average of 13.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
