Nika Barić opet u Celju

Potpisom za sezonu 2026/27 se Nika Barić (169 cm, 1992) drugi puta vrača u Cinkarnu Celje. Nakon Žive Mišjak Cujnik i Zorane Radonjić je trostruka prvakinja Eurolige već treće pojačanje jedinog slovenskog predstavnika u WABA ligi.

Barić je prošle sezone igrala je za Hapoel Be’er Shevu u izraelskoj ligi, gdje je u prosjeku postizala po 5.9 poena, 1.8 skokova i 3.9 asistencija u 19 utakmica.

U prethodna dva razdoblja (2007-2011 i 2024/25) je sa Celje zaigrala na četiri WABA Final-Foura, uključujući finale 2025.godine u Celju.

U svojoj posljednjoj WABA sezoni (2024/25) je za Cinkarnu Celje u prosjeku na 5 utakmica ostvarivala po 8.4 poena, 3.2 skoka i 4.6 asistencija.

Barić je Euroligu osvojila 2016., 2018. i 2019.godine.

Na draftu WNBA lige ju je 2012.godine u drugoj rundi (ukupno 20.pick) izabrala Minnesota Lynx.

Barić je bila i najkorisnija igračica (MVP) premijerne sezone WABA U15 lige 2006/07.

Pored Celja je igrala još u Rusiji (UMMC Yekaterinburg, Dynamo Kursk and Sparta&K Vidnoe Moscow Region, Nika), Turskoj (Elazig Il, Mersin) i Poljskoj (Polkowice).

  

Nika Baric reunites with Cinkarna Celje once more

Heading into the 2026–27 season, Cinkarna Celje has landed guard Nika Baric (169 cm, born 1992).

Returning to Cinkarna Celje for a third stint, Baric has inked a one-year contract. Following the acquisitions of Ziva Misjak Cujnik and Zorana Radonjic, the Slovenian outfit announced her as their third summer signing today.

Having captured numerous titles throughout her career—including the FIBA EuroLeague championships in 2016, 2018, and 2019—Baric hopes to add to her impressive tally with Celje. During her previous two stints, she helped the team reach four WABA Final Four tournaments, including the 2025 Finals in Celje.

She played for Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Israeli League last season, where she averaged 5.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists across 19 games. In her most recent WABA season (2024–25), Baric averaged 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists over 5 games with Cinkarna Celje.

Back in 2012, she was selected in the second round of the WNBA Draft (20th overall) by the Minnesota Lynx, before her rights were traded to the Atlanta Dream. Notably, Baric was also named the MVP of the inaugural WABA U15 league back in 2007.

Over her extensive professional career, Baric has also played in Turkey (Elazig Il Özel Idare and Mersin), Russia (UMMC Yekaterinburg, Dynamo Kursk, Sparta&K Vidnoe Moscow Region, and Nika Syktyvkar), and Poland (BC Polkowice).
