MVP februara: Shante Evans

Februar sa četiri kola niti jedan tim nije završio bez poraza, ali su se zato popunila sva četiri mesta na Final-Fouru. Jedna od učesnika je Athlete Celje kod kojeg se je isticala Shante Evans (184 cm, 1991) te je najkorisnija igračica (MVP) februara.

Amerikanka je u februaru zaigrala na tri utakmice (zbog bolesti je propustila gostovanje kod Partizana 1953) i u proseku ostvarivala po 18.7 poena, 14.3 skokova, 2.3 asistencija, 1.7 osvojenih lopti i 0.3 blokada.

Bila je i MVP 6.kola Superlige sa 29 poena, izjednačenih vlastitim rekordom sezone 18 skokova i valorizacijom 40 koja je druga najviša u dosadašnjem delu WABA lige 2016/17.

Evans trenutno vodeći skakač (11.1) lige, treći strelac (18.2) i druga po valorizaciji (20.5).

February with four games saw no teams escape unbeaten, but a four of them secured their Final-Four spots.

For her role in making Athlete Celje one of those team, American center Shante Evans (184 cm, 1991) has been named as the MVP for February.

By the time February was finished, Evans had accumulated averages of 18.7 points, 14.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.3 blocks during three games.

She was a MVP of Superleague Round 6, when posted 29 points, tied her own league-high 18 rebounds and has a performance index rating 40, which was the second highest among all players in WABA league all season.

Evans finished the month sitting first the full-season rankings for WABA rebounders, with 11.1 boards on average, ranked third  in points scored (18.2) and second in index performance (20.5) .
